Welcome to the 2026 Bear Electrical Jimna Rallysprint.
After an unsuccessful attempt last year to conduct in the area, Brisbane Sporting Car Club have decided to return to a forestry area in Queensland which has a long rich history within rallying in Queensland. Personally, I like to thank the Board of the Brisbane Sporting Car Club to allow to me run this event for them.
In 2026, costs to running any event are higher than in previous years. Organisers need to require heavily on sponsorship to help contain the costs for organisers, competitors and officials. Many thanks to Adam O’Brien and Beth Mahney at Bear Electrical, Matt Dolan at Future Auto Service Center and John Keen at Ship Shape Ships, we have been able to provide a QRC, Clubman, Novice and Regularity round that is affordable to all.
With the recent changes made to the Motorsport Australia S2 Rallysprint Standing Regulations, we have been able to increase the total stage distance for the entire event to 87km on good, formed gravel forestry roads that have been upgraded with recent logging operations by HQ Plantations.
Jimna Base Camp will play host to the Service Park for the event and camping is available to all competitors, service crews and officials. There will be breakfast and lunch during the day. At the conclusion of the event, the Jimna Sporting Club, top of Service Park will be open for dinner where presentations will be held at the conclusion of the event.

The Board of the Brisbane Sporting Car Club realise the pressures for competitors and officials alike in the preparation for QRC events during the year.
The vagaries of fuel costs and costs to officials attending events has led to the decision of extending the time between events to allow people to regroup after the June event and move the next QRC event to a new date of 15 August 2026.
I am sure you will agree that the new date suits budgets and car preparation for an event to be based out of Manumbar Campdraft Grounds.
The settlement of Manumbar is a one and a half hour drive of 90kms of which 45kms is a gravel shire road North of Kilcoy.
The event will consist of 3 stages run twice during the day and once in reverse during the night. Total distance of competitive stages is around 130kms.
Camping and catering will be available from Friday afternoon by the Campdraft Association and during the weekend at the grounds.
As plans for the event evolve further information will be available on the BSCC web page.
